In this video, you'll learn why it's important to focus on your next step in the systemising journey and why it's not useful to compare your systems to other businesses who are further along in the journey. You'll also learn about how getting started in the systemising process opens up new opportunities for where systems thinking can be applied to improve the efficiency of the way you do business.

Action Steps

  • Step #1: Using your Departments, Responsibilities & Team Chart (DRTC) as a guide, create a timeline and get to work extracting your systems. You can prioritise based on solving problems you know currently exist within the business.
  • Step #2: Follow the System for Creating Systems for each identified system.
  • Step #3: Identify how you will maintain momentum. Will you use rewards, punishments or both to keep your team on track?
